Taste of Africa is an intimate, one-of-a-kind dining experience that we offer on a seasonal basis, often during Robertson Wine Valley festivals. It begins with our unique Taste-the-Difference experience in the candle-lit wine cellar, where Esona wines are served in RIEDEL crystal glasses and paired with local preserves and chocolate. This is followed by a 3-course, home-cooked dinner infused with African flavours at our intimate eatery, Caryl’s Deli.
Caryl’s Deli at Esona – recently announced as a KLINK AWARD Nominee for the BEST DELI on a Wine Farm – serves delicious food made with local ingredients. Guests are welcome to linger over their meal on Caryl’s large veranda with spectacular vineyard and Breede River views. Alternatively, you can order a picnic basket packed with deli goodies paired with Esona wine, and enjoy it on our grass area, which also has panoramic views.
